Care Philosophy
I am a board-certified advanced practice nurse practitioner with a background as an ICU registered nurse and experience as a nurse practitioner in acute care and trauma surgery. I have transitioned to the pulmonary clinic practice to focus on building long-term relationships and trust with my patients. I provide medical care to patients with diseases of the respiratory system including lungs, trachea, diaphragm and related structures. I am passionate about patient education and empowering individuals to make informed decisions about their healthcare.

Really liked new pulmonary NP Sam... I felt like she really listened and thought through my symptoms and issues!

It took 7 weeks and 2 referrals from the Cancer Center to get an appointment. The appointment was to learn about treatment of pneumonitis. Sam admitted she had never taken care of a patient with pneumonitis. She called the next day and said my PFTs showed I had emphysema and should use a $500. Inhaler. I had not been told that before and that's not why I was there. The whole thing was a waste of time.

I had the appointment, my husband joined me in with Sam and our experience was overall very wonderful. She was very delightful, very helpful and extremely a good caregiver, listened to all of our concerns and took care of many great things for me.
